What You Will Learn
The Legislative Journey – How the bill moved through Congress, from its introduction on May 16 to the House vote on May 22, Senate amendments on July 1, and the President signing it into law on July 4, 2025.
Key Tax Changes for Individuals in 2025 – TCJA provisions that are now permanent, including individual tax rates, the increased standard deduction, the SALT deduction cap rising to $40,000, and the QBI deduction locked in at 20%.
Brand New Deductions for 2025 – The No Tax on Tips deduction (up to $25,000), the No Tax on Overtime deduction (up to $12,500), the new Auto Loan Interest Deduction (up to $10,000), and the Enhanced Deduction for Seniors ($6,000).
